I remember when Swinton prided themselves on quality service, particularly with their local offices. Sadly this is no longer the case. My wife sold her car with 6 months left to run on her Swinton insurance. She thought she was doing the right thing by cancelling her policy and even thought she was entitled to a refund for the 6 months left. But guess what - the call centre operator announced that she had to pay £30 to cancel and if she didn't it would be passed to a debt collection agency. A classic example of how to lose customers for the sake of a few quid. So be advised everyone - if you do buy insurance from this lot - don't tell them if you subsequently sell the car!!
