Another driver reversed in a one way area of a car park - directly into my car. I was stationary at the time.
I was totally honest with Sheila's Wheels - informed them of every detail, provided photographs, diagram and was 100% compliant and truthful. At first when I reported the incident, their member of staff told me that it would be logged as a 'non-fault', that my excess of £250 would be waived and that my renewal would not be affected.
However, when I called a couple of days later they informed me that it was logged as a fault, I would have to pay the excess and that my renewal payment was being increased considerably. They were totally unhelpful, not at all sorry for misleading me and did not seem to care that a driver who was not at fault and was being honest, was being punished financially.
Awful to be treated like you've done something wrong when you haven't. Trying to get a straight answer out of their staff is impossible and you are not treated like you matter as a customer at all. It really appears that honesty and careful driving does not pay.
