“Disgusting treatment”

Went with this insurer as was really cheap and as you do didn't expect to be in a accident...Wrong! Don't choose quantity over quality as the saying goes. I was in a crash which was not my fault, quote me happy only agreeded with their choosen garage to fix part of the damage as believe some damage MAY of already been their, which i have repeatedly assured them it was caused in the accident but they still refuse to complete the damage. They took the money from my mother then refused to accept proof of NCD and threatened to cancel policy, because my recently widowed mother had been the second driver on a spousal policy (claim & incident free for 30+yrs), rather than the named driver. She is the paying client yet they make her do all the work while they do nothing. No call centre. I purchased a renewal of my car insurence on 20-01-2017. but got NO details or information only a policy number and car reg No. there is NO information or detail as to who I contact IF I have to give my details to another driver, I have tried TWICE to get an email or download of this without any success, all I am asking for is a printout of the policy detail to be sent to me by email or even in the post. so come on whats the problem. I'm so surprised at the negative reviews here, i have nothing but praise for Quote Me Happy. I had a non fault accident on 11th December 2016. It was a Sunday lunchtime. I called QMH at the scene of the accident and they sorted everything out regards the collection of the damaged car from the scene within the hour, a courtesy car was on my drive within 2 hours and the legal team fighting my case the very next day. I didn't even want to give 1 star they are that bad They cancelled my policy and said i didn't upload my NCD, which i did i emailed them to tell them this no reply. so had to go get insurance somewhere else and fork out more money. A week later had a call from someone saying really sorry it was our mistake your NCD was on there and we will refund money to me, I am still waiting !!!!! I'm changing my car next week... they have said they will not let me change the car on my currently policy as it "does not meet their criteria". 9 months into policy I changed my car so logged into my quotemhappy acct only to be told they would not insure my new car. I insured my new car with another company with no problems and then went to cancel my policy with quotemhappy only to be informed there was a cancelation fee of £53. Worst insurance company!!! Renewal was cheap but when I had a accident (third party at fault) the whole process became stressful. From arranging a courtesy car to the recovery of my car was a shambles. To top it up took them 2 weeks to confirm car was a write off even though it was taken to their centre on the day of the accident. No updates no follow up. “I wouldn't even give them a star if it was an option.”

Absolutely useless. Made a claim September 2015, now March 2016 and the claim remains unresolved. They seem unable to answer emails and idiots seem to be on the phone(that is if you can FIND their number in the first place). I have now put in a formal complaint, let's see if they can be bothered answering this. same here i made a claim in October 2015 after somebody hit me from behind while i was waiting at a junction for traffic lights. at the scene third party driver admitted liability had my car fixed now third party insurers disputing liability and every time i speak to anybody im told third party not responding to letters and they will give them another week before they involve legal team three times ive been told this. Now my insurance is coming up for renewal i cant change insurers because my no claims im not sure what to tell new insurers because quote me happy (AVIVA) dont no what to tell me so looks like ive got to stay another year with higher premiums because somebody hit me from behind whilst i was in queue of traffic at a junction waiting for lights

Funnily enough I got the same excuse, that the other insurer was not answering them. However, after a lot of chasing after them and not giving up and sending a formal complaint, I am now found not at fault and received £80 excess back. However, I still won't ever be using QuoteMeUnHappy again. The renewal quote was disgusting as well.

Don't bother with this company, fort the following reasons: I couldn't prove that I had two years worth of no claims discount (however, I've since gone with the RAC who had no problem in confirming this information, without any input from myself). This company cancelled my insurance then sent me a letter, several weeks later, to increase my premiums (since according to them I had no proof of no claims in existence). I have still to make sure that my money has been refunded to my account. Another problem is that it is an online service, with no readily available telephone number provided.

I had no reason to complain about the company until I wanted to cancel the policy. Then I found, as others have noted, you can't get a hold of them by telephone. I emailed my question and the quoted section was sent to me from their Ts & Cs, and they could not deal with me as the policy was in my wife's name. I was named on the policy and it was my email address. I wished to cancel the policy, as the car had to be scrapped, with about 5 months remaining on the policy. I had been with this company for 4 years, everything OK, and then the premium simply (almost) doubled when time to re-new. I emailed them and they were not interested in explaining why in any personal way - just 'computer says no' type of response.
