I have been with this company (a subsidiary of insurance giant Aviva) for a couple of years. Most of the time everything worked - obviously you do not need to interact with them when you do not have a problem. They have probably reaped the profit benefits of reducing customer service to virtually nil. But, when you NEED to interact with them it is very difficult to get through to a real person. In the 20+ years I have been getting car insurance I have never come across a more complicated and unintelligent way of doing things as is with this company. I have spend days and lots of time trying to send them proof of my no claims, and I'm not even asking for them to protect it!! There is no one to speak to on a phone as they don't give you a phone number to ring. I intitally went with this company as I am a fairly new younger driver and the price was good. After a problem with my NCD my policy price doubled which made my payments extremely high and I could not afford them. I found a new company with a better deal and went with them. After making the first payment less than a week later 2 more payments were taken from my account totaling over £200 which left me overdrawn in my bank causing me to incur charges from my bank. Unable to upload proof of NCD as it says uploading is in progress. 2 hours later still the same message. Had to find different ways to send it because they would not accept an html file. Obviously did not read my emails as they kept sending an automated reply which was absolutely useless. “Terrible customer service”

My daughter sadly passed away before her QMH policy had reached it's term. I cancelled her policy and gave the reason of "deceased" on the online drop down menu. I received condolences, then an email to my daughter with her NCH for future policies! I complained to them of the insensitivity of this, they requested my number and 12 days later still waiting to be contacted. Charged £53 to cancel the policy too. I needed new tyres. No problem I thought - I'll buy some. No problem right ? WRONG. A friend offered me his alloy wheels with tyres that would fit like a glove to save a few quid .... So great ( or so I thought ). Put on the wheels which were slightly larger wheels ( from 16 " to 17" / no biggie.... No major issue. ). Did the right thing and told the insurance .... I spent an hour on the phone being spoken to like a sack of cr a p by this company, I am disabled and have difficulty understanding things to the point that a person is typing this for me. Please don't go with them, don't do it to yourself. One of the first things they spoke about when I started making my claim was that a lot of the time it goes 50/50 even though I'd just told them it was absolutely the other party's fault and the police report backs that up. Clearly just can't be bothered to fight if the other insurance company defend their driver. Crash was on 5th and I've got to wait till 29th before my car gets took for repair.. I didn't have any complain with them until I had a claim. My car was hit in the back and the third party accepted responsibility. So far so good. Problem was when my car had to be repair. They use the worst garage I ever seen: SOLUS ARC. Solus damaged the roof of my 4x4 and they didn't accept they did it. They said the damage was there before and blamed me as cheater trying to get the car repaired for free. They were very rude over the phone. DO NOT INSURE WITH THIS COMPANY! Do not be tempted by a cheap quote. This company is awful. After a couple of weeks of being insured they asked for my proof of no claims otherwise they would cancel my policy on the 24.05 I uploaded my proof of no claims on the 10.05 and had a confirmation email from them on the 12.05 saying they had received it. I am shocked at how terrible this company is. I was asked to upload my NCB. I did, Or at least I thought I had. I received no confirmation. 8 days later I was emailed to say my policy had been cancelled- leaving me 2 hours until it expired at midnight. EVERY time I tried to contact them (there is NO number) it said there was a server error. I tried emailing repeatedly only to find the email was bounced back. I wish I had read some of these reviews before I accepted their quote. Dear me, what a terrible, terrible service. They didn't accept my previous insurer's NCD because they said my insurer's name isn't on the document even though it clearly is in bold black letters. They would not accept a letter from previous insurance company and did not contact other insurance company therefore I lost 13 years no claims! This pushed my insurance up from £21 TO £50 a month....
