“No service - frustrating website and premiums not great”

★★☆☆☆

I have been with this company (a subsidiary of insurance giant Aviva) for a couple of years. Most of the time everything worked - obviously you do not need to interact with them when you do not have a problem. They have probably reaped the profit benefits of reducing customer service to virtually nil. But, when you NEED to interact with them it is very difficult to get through to a real person. Aviva, this really sucks - ultimately if you go to an online only model you have to provide a bit more service. Even a live chat facility would be better than the delayed office-hours only , email model you have. I would not mind waiting on the phone when I really need to speak to someone - even Amazon has brought back the call centre. I am cancelling today as I am tired of this - the last premium (foolishly allowed them to renew my policy automatically was not competitive).

The website is really patronising, making you click through dozens of potential solutions to your problem, when you already know you need to interact with someone. Even when you have painstakingly written an email (and having had tor start it twice because it does not automatically copy your policy detail), they still second-guess you and suggest other solutions to your problem before "allowing" you to contact them.

Get stuffed Aviva - you take take your Quote Me Happy website and stick it where the sun don't shine
