“Everything worked brilliantly”

I was forced to make a claim because whilst driving in Italy I had a tyre blow-out then slight scratches to the car's rear bumper. I emailed the Questor to make sure I collected all relevant documents before returning to UK. The response was quick, efficient and my claim was logged before my return. All monies were re-inbursed very promptly. I have recommended this insurance to many fellow travellers. (read more)

“Excellent customer service”

I have just had to phone questor to amend the length of time i needed excess insurance for the hire car we will be renting, and was amazed when the phone was answered so quickly, the lady then asked for my details and informed me that if i wanted to amend it to a full years policy it would only cost just over another five pounds which i thought was excellent value for money. we will definitly be using questor again. “Great service, Great price”

This is the fourth year I have taken excess cover with Questor Insurance and each year the price has fallen, unlike many other insurance companies that leave you feeling a bit ripped off! You even get a loyalty bonus when you renew as a thank you, I never get that with the house insurance when that comes up for renewal, perhaps other insurers should follow Questor's good example and quality service. Through care and good luck I haven't needed to claim so far. However, it is good to know that I am covered when hiring a car and don't require the expensive insurance sold at the airport which doesn't appear to cover me as well as this policy. (read more)

“Car Hire Abroad”

Travelling through New Zealand with Avis car hire. For less than £50 Questor covered my wife and I for the very high damage excess that fully comrehensive cover with CDW does not cover, and the cover lasts for twelve months. Unbelievable!! The web site was easy to understand and the phone help line people (I didn't believe the on-line quote) were polite and efficient. Have already recommended Questor to friends going to Australia. “Impossible to contact for help when needed”

While this is listed under Car Insurance, questor also do travel insurance which is what this review is for. I also had taken out Hire Car Excess insurance with them together with my travel insurance. My airline had lost my bag, a week before Christmas. That alone is stressful enough and I would expect my travel insurance provider will be on hand to provide some help. Well, not with questor. After taking a hire car abroad and reading the small print, i was shocked to see i'd accepted a 1500 euro excess. Then i saw you could get excess insurance such as Questor which gives peace of mind and is usually cheaper than those taken at the car hire desk. Would definitely recommend. (read more)

We live abroad and visit the UK several times a year, often needing to use a hire car. Having used Questor cover every time we hired a car for a while now, we had to make a claim at the end of 2011 after the Kia we rented from Hertz suffered storm damage. It wasn't a lot (only about £250 to repair). May we first apologise profusely for any inconvenience caused to you. We have looked into your account and no user has been set up for the login yet under your account. You will need to register by clicking on the "create a login" button and then you should be able to view your documentation without issue and access the portal at your discretion going forwards.

Our apologies if this initial step has not been made clear. This should also solve printing issues, however, if still experiencing difficulty, we also offer to print and send in the post any certificates requested.

“Excellent service”

This policy is excellent value when compared with the cost of even reducing the often huge excesses imposed by rental companies. The company responded to a claim without complication or delay which has subsequently enhanced the confidence I now have when hiring cars. Renewal of the policy is also easy and trouble free online. After three years with this company I have not yet come across any dislikes! (read more)
