Moved address and called premium choice to advise,was put on hold for 10 mins then call handler came back to me and said my insurance has had to be cancelled as they won't insure my new address (which is 10 miles away) they offered me alternative cover at 700.00 per year more than what I was paying previously. “Customer Services at Premium Choice”

I am a new customer, and still have to send some documents to them and I just called their customer services team to get some help. Their web portal for uploading documents didn't seem to work and sent no confirmation, so I asked the customer services advisor if she had received my documents. Shocking company. No customer service at all. They asked for my documentation for evidence when setting up my insurance. I sent it, they kept hassling and asking for it, I sent it again, they kept hassling and threatening to close the insurance without receipt of the documentation, I sent it AGAIN, they closed the account. When i first joined premium choice they requested numerous proof documents, these were sent on within 24 hours and the policy began, 1 week later i received a letter threatening to cancel my policy due to not sending these documents, after phoning the company it became clear they had missed the e-mail containing all necessary documents. Terrible car insurance company as well as there sister company A-choice. I first joined Premium choice last year in march, it was my third car insurance company I had been with and switched as they were the lowest quote, however that did not compensate for the amount of issues I had while setting it up. “DON'T LET CHEAP THE LOW QUOTE FOOL YOU!! EXCESS IS...”

Brokers need money to stay in busoness right?... Easiest way for them to source that is from us... 'the customers'. Be very careful when dealing with Premium Finance. There is a £35 handling fee just for changing address details even if your premium becomes cheaper, there is still a 'handling fee' you have to pay. £30 charge for any payments that can't be made when attempted. Agreed, they are not interested in helping their customers, just to make money wherever they can. Administration fees all over the place, even if they cancel the policy as their panel of insurers can no longer provide cover! Avoid and pay a slightly higher premium with a rated insurance company!

I had my new price at end of yeah same as the year before any way I called them waiting on line for 20 mins ..... Completely agree. They looked good on paper but once you're into your policy it's £35 just to change your address.
£30 charge if any payment can't be taken on that day. I have two bank accounts. I was paid a day late so I didn't have enough money in that account. I noticed they couldn't take the payment the next day, rang them up to pay full amount and was told I have to pay £30 charge with no way of waiving the charges. If I didn't pay within 3 days they'd cancel my policy. Customer service is shocking. If your direct debits go up they never tell you how much it actually is, they mention how much it 'goes up by' but don't ever tell you the actually direct debit amount.
Safe to say I'll be leaving this company when it's up for renewal.

I used Premium Choice as they offered the cheapest price for my insurance renewal. However after having a to make a claim for an accident I was involved in I now know why they are the cheapest... After making my claim I had to chase multiple times for updates, each time having to ring a premium rate number and sit in a queue for over 20 mins. Not ideal when you are working full time. Good price but that is obviously the catch... They ask for no claims certificate and driving license pictures, as most do these days... I provided them as requested then got an email saying I needed to go on the dvla website and ask for a code, using driving license number and national insurance number.. May not sound like a hassle but when you are working full time and have lots on before Christmas was a hassle I did not need, why were the pictures not sufficient? Should have looked up reviews first before going with these. I had alot of hastle trying to get my insurance started. As far as i was aware i was insured and then i get an email saying my insurance can be cancelled at any time if i do not send these documents. I was told to send copy of my passport a proof of adress and my drivers licence, i dont have time for this in full time work!
