This is the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with kept doubling my premiums every time changed car own a 407 diesel now want £104 per month, I’ve been driving for 30 years with full ncb, they renewed my insurance and waited 3 months to tell me I owed 3 months premiums absolute vermin. As a “gesture of good will” said I could pay 156 per month till paid what owed I think not, also when I rang them to complain the gobby agent hung up on me. Avoid at all costs

Avoid using one quote!! The payment portal crashed midway through processing the payment, however payment taken without a valid car insurance. On calling company they had no record or reference of payment, shockingly terrible customer service, on providing evidence of money leaving my account with onequote direct reference said they would raise it with billing department as there's nothing they could do. Who knows how many payments have been taken in this way!! How dodgy is it that a company can take a payment but not trace or account for it being received?

I strongly advise you avoid this firm. On taking out my insurance I was sent numerous emails asking for further details despite having provided these details. There is obviously a complete disconnect between messages sent out and documents/answers provided by customer (i.e. the people who pay for the service). Almost impossible to contact them by phone or email. Rarely responded to enquiries. The penalty of fee of £75 for cancelling the policy is excessive and inequitable. It's just a means to extract money for doing next to nothing. All in all terrible, diabolically service. Strongly advise you go elsewhere - even if the premium is the cheapest. It's just not worth it.

I have never bothered to write anything or complain before but these are a rip off and have just taken money off me they offer you cheap deal then ask for more money then try find away out of your policy please do NOT consider using this company don't get ripped off like me I have lost most of my money due to them over charging me and know I have to pay for another policy somewhere else poor service poor communication they over charge you then they charge you again I have lost so much money don't talk to these people they should be a law against this

The management is very disorganised, the company charges too much money for their own mistakes, they offer no compensation for their own mistakes. You should avoid this company as compared to the other top insurance companies that you may have to pay a little bit more for, the little bit you pay extra for will be worth it in terms of customer service (call centre very unhelpful and unprofessional) and quality.

Always go with a reputable and well recognised company. The customer services team is shocking, simple tasks like changing details is a maths test for them ? They do not communicate with you if there are any issues with your policy, they go straight to default action. I accidentally typed in the wrong digit when setting up my direct debit, instead of calling me or writing to me they sent a default notice. I then had to call several times to finally speak to someone who could rectify the issue. Even then it wasn't resolved. In the end I cancelled and went elsewhere. This company will do the same if you ever needed up make a claim. DO NOT USE THEM

I contacted Onequotedirect to change vehicle details.(I had been their customer for 2 years) i was told they would ring me back ASAP. 48 hours later i contacted them. There was no apology and a patronising team member explainded that it would cost £50 to change the details. I asked for it to be wavered as other companies dont charge and under the circumstances (because i had to wait 48hs and then had to contact them myself). I thought it would be good for their customer care. Anyway i got no-where with them and told them i will never be a customer of theirs again. I'm now with a company who are very professional and nice.

they are not insurers but a third party that acts as brokers, their renewal notice is always much higher than the previous year. when you look online their own site will give you lesser qoute. If you try to change car on their policy, they will make excuse not to cover it so you have to cancel it meaning paying £75 cancellation fee! thats for a insurance that is half paid and total in 200 per year! with 10 year no claim bonus! If they treat customers like that, wonder how easy will be at time of any possible claim. STAY away from them.

Please please do not touch this company. I am surprised they are sill in business. Seem cheap, then you get hooked in by them saying they want extra information until they come across a 'supposed 'mistake' on your part and then the gross extra charges start. The stress is unbelievable. You are better getting out fast and paying the cancellation fee - which will be twice what they quote. Norman Ball

If you get a quote from OneQuote Direct, look at it VERY carefully. The price you see, is not the price you pay. They add a 'Set up charge' of £20, plus they add an extra 14.5% to the entire premium, if you are paying monthly. They hide this quite well in their quotes though, so the total premium does not include the interest charges, and you don't even notice unless you read the small print. Also, if you make ANY change throughout the year, you'll be charged at least £50 admin fee, regardless. If you need to phone them, be prepared for a long wait, whenever you call. If it was possible to give less that one star, I'd do it. Also please note, NEVER use any 'cheap' insurer, who puts you with Premium Credit for the monthly payments, Premium Credit are as bad as the insurers, and it is their 14.5 charge, which means that effectively you are paying 39.6% APR

theres a reason why they so cheap. they wont contact you until 7 days after the cooling off period my case 14 days later ask for copy of licence and v5 and no claims sent copies one quote then ask for £110 extra premium because the v5 states when i bought the car on the day i took out the insurance. one states we thought you already owned the car

AVOID THE PROVIDER, THESE ARE POOR. Priced low due to high "administration fees" which have you over a barrel and they know it. Raised a complaint with the financial ombudsman and OneQuote as TCF does not exist with this provider...
