Hi,

We've got a similar issue and guess what ? MarkerStudy is involved.

Last November we were informed over the phone that a claim was logged against our car for a "nudge" whilst parking. We asked for more details which was like blood out of a stone then eventually told the date, location, colour and make of the claimant's car. Later it transpired the location and colour of car were totally wrong.

Anyway, they keep drip feeding us with information about the claim. We eventually got photos but it only showed 2 cars parked closely together - this is not a crime ! We just received a witness statement saying there was a "nudge" to the claimant's car at 1 or 2 mph but get this, still no comment around any damage. We don't even know what they are trying to claim despite numerous requests.

I'm convinced this is another one of those companies that are "claim happy" i.e., will pursue any false positive claim so they can recover their fees and create misery. They keep giving us ultimatums like reply within 7 days else they will process the claim. It's seems their default position that we are guilty unless we can keep proving otherwise. Absolute criminals and have already raised the issue with the regulators. I should also invoice them for time wasted.

There are plenty of comments on this company about taking out a policy with MarkerStudy but, if you are unfortunate enough to have a claim raised against you, beware !
