I have been a Lloyds Bank customer for 20 years. They were regularly contacting me to use their insurance service. I did so on a new car that I purchased. The contract was agreed and they asked for proof of no claims bonus. I sent this (ten years) but they would not accept it as my old car was still insured with my previous insurer (Saga) I was keeping this insurance live until I sold the car. As Lloyds would not allow the NCB I told them to cancel the policy. They told me that this would cost £20. When I told them I would cancel all of my bank accounts they agreed to waive the charge. I have now reinsured with Saga. I am very disappointed with Lloyds who I have found , in the past, to be a good bank. They clearly need to get their act together.
