I purchased car insurance through a comparison website, paid for it outright. A few weeks later they asked for a copy of documents which I provided. They found a date was a few days out and charged me an extra ammendment fee. I was not impressed. It was a sly underhand thing to do. They waited till i couldn't cancel the policy without paying a fee. I could have had a cheeper policy with a different company in the end.

Hi,

Sorry to read your review and that we needed to correct some information on the policy. Because your premium was calculated taking that info into account we have a duty to your insurer to ensure it was done accurately. We do have a fee to cancel regardless of what date it is and so we don't wait but just need time to manually check all policies.
