“Appalling Experience Avoid this Rip off Company”

Refused to accept my NCD which I provided 3 times. Refused to phone my previous insurance company to confirm my NCD. Harassing me with umpteen emails detailing their fines and cancellation fees for not providing them with proof of my NCD. Kept asking for my NCD in different formats. Appalling money grabbing company that seem bent on trying to get more money out of you any way they can. I would definitely NOT recommend this company and would definitely avoid. “Will never use again”

I can't just believe such a horrible company could exist! I just wanted to take a policy from them, that's all! I sent a photo of documents that showed no claim discount, like everybody else, but GA rejected the normal .jpg photo, saying they couldn't see it on their computer. They even instructed me to take photos using my mobile and put my sim card into a PC to send, which was absolutely nonsense! “Not What It Appears To Be”

I had no idea until after I had taken out a policy that they describe themselves as 'an online insurer' which turns out to mean that it is impossible to speak to anyone by phone and you are at their mercy waiting for a reply to any email. I had a policy with them and changed car part through the year. I have done this many times in the past and it has been an easy process to swap the car on the policy (WITH ANY OTHER INSURER). I would advise anyone reading this to avoid General Accident!! Had a small accident on a roundabout involving another car. Reported it and still after a year on I've heard nothing different. Everytime I ring it's excuse after excuse, I've been waiting for the other parties insurance to authorise the accident as a 50/50 for a year now! They also gave me the option of automatic renewal, which is a must for me as I already had a bad experience with Admiral sneakily renewing my last policy without properly informing me and slapping on an extra £200. once paid for we were told to upload NCD we did but it wasn't' on the right form. Spent pounds ringing . Told to upload cancellation documents of previous insurerer, did still not right had to have NCD and cancellation letter on SAME page ridiculous. If I'd known General Accident were in any way related to QuoteMeHappy (which is also awful according to the reviews) I wouldn't have gone near them. Alas I didn't realise until emails sent from General Accident systems came signed from the QuoteMeHappy team. The service is awful - they won't talk to you on the phone after your cooling off period has elapsed - when you call you have to enter your policy number and if it is old your can't get through to anyone. I have had nothing but trouble with this company. I have had to ring the helpline 3 times in the past 3 weeks (2 of those this week alone) - this is a telephone number that you can also only use for the first 35 days of the policy! I had only been with the company for two weeks when someone bumped into my very old car at night and didn't leave a note/come and tell me. It was a write off. I attempted to upload the documents they asked for twice, and was never sent an email saying it wasn't satisfactory.
