I have had nothing but trouble with this company. I have had to ring the helpline 3 times in the past 3 weeks (2 of those this week alone) - this is a telephone number that you can also only use for the first 35 days of the policy!

It would seem their automated system does all the 'work' - work meaning constantly screw up.

Firstly after I had uploaded my proof of no claims I then (2 days later) had another text and email saying that as I hadn't uploaded my proof of no claims my policy would be cancelled in the next 3 days. I straight away rang them, and finally managed to talk to a lady who said it was an automated system and I had received the communication because an actual person hadn't clicked a button on the system yet. She did this whilst I was on the phone, and so should all have been fine.

2 weeks later I then had an email and text saying that my policy was going to be cancelled at midnight on that day as I hadn't uploaded my proof of no claims. Again I went straight onto the blower and after being on hold for half an hour, finally got through to someone, only for them to hang up on me before I'd even finished saying my name! After getting through to someone on my second try I was told they had no idea why this fault had happened, and they apologised - saying that a manager had to sign off on this issue and would take no longer than 24 hours and in mean time my policy would remain in tact.

I then awoke the next day to an email saying my policy was all sorted and intact with no cancellation. This was a Tuesday. By the Saturday I then had another email saying I owed GA more money! After waiting on hold (again!) I got through to a chap who told me that the automated system (that poxy system that is the cause of every fault so far) had refunded me. I now had to check for the refund and pay it back to them again!

GA is great....if you don't mind a heavily flawed automated system - that sends out emails with quite frankly very aggravating messages not just because they're wrong, but because of the way they are written - and bad customer service.

Be warned - if you use this insurance company you will not be in for a trouble free ride.
