“Area Charges”

Written on: 08/09/2011 by dpm (8 reviews written)

Car insurance is the biggest rip off ever I have to pay another £105 on top of my premium just because of moving from north London to south and yet N8 is risk (F) and SE19 is risk (F) money for nothing . I wonder what the F stands for?

F has nothing to do with anything all different insurers price postcode areas differently.

Esure will just have had a worst off experience in the new postcode area from the old area hense the additional premium and their admin fees for the move. This is very common and you cannot get away from it from all insurers.

Very harsh to aim this at esure alone when it occurs with all companys.

Esure charged me to change address too - despite moving to a lower risk area. It seems they quote such a low initial premium on the price comparison websites to get your business, that they have to think of ways of recouping their money. Any change - they charge. Any accident, even if it's not your fault - they increase your premium.
