We unfortunately had to have our car key replaced, which happens. We were unimpressed initially at having to wait 3 days to have the issue dealt with. We used the Car the Wednesday, used the car key on the Thursday morning then in the afternoon couldn't find it. We searched high and low before even phoning (as you do) on the Friday to report the key as gone. After being told to call back on Monday in case we found it, we were then stuck in remote North East Scotland with an infant, and no use of a car! So we called back on Monday, told someone would be out and we were priority due to only having one key for the car. However priority service meant us having to wait until Wednesday to get anyone out. He eventually appeared around 4.30pm with only 30 minutes notice so the family were stuck in the house all day waiting. So he did what he did and got into the car, then sorted out a new key for us. He then appeared at the door to give us the new key and inform us that it will not start the engine. The key will unlock the car and turn on the ignition, but not start the engine. He then said he was only a locksmith and we had to call insurance back. A full day today with phonecalls, being told to take the car to a dealer to have a diagnostic done. Great advice, thank you. However we have zero money, due to not working because of health issues (no ones business) therefore no way of doing this. So thank you Dial Direct, you have left a family stuck to say the least! Due to the trip being 40 miles one way, if any member of my family requires emergency hospital care we need to be able to jump in the car to reduce time waiting for others to get to us first. If ANYTHING happens to anyone and we cannot use the car I will hold you responsible. And you can forget about receiving any future payments from me after this absolute shambles!
