If i could give this insurance less than 1 star i would. !!!!DO NOT TAKE AN INSURANCE WITH THIS COMPANY, PLEASE !!!! I had my car stolen after a night shift and it was never recovered, so i had to claim. I was told by the person I dealt with that debenhams insurance that i'd lose my one year ncb as i was mid second policy. However, speaking to the theft department my NCB goes down to 0. Which was increased by insurance policy to 2100. In addition to this the in house engineers that valued my car have valued a 2015 ford fiesta 1.25 at £4000, despite valuing the car at £5000. I'd advice anyone to avoid this insurance company, from a mile away regardless of the price.

Terrible insurance company. £25 cancellation fee is disgusting, it would not have cost them anything to cancel my policy, it had not even started. When I phoned they were rude and when you email they do not acknowledge your complaint or answer your questions. I will not ever consider again ever, I have had a lucky escape, imagine if I had to claim. They can't speak properly on the phone and they are rude and unhelpful.

Absolutely disgusting service, not to mention the pricing! Quoted me £85 per month for insurance then changed it to £145 (for third party fire and theft cover). I can't afford this yet they want to charge me £187.77 to cancel the policy! Don't ever use this service.

Chose these through go compare. Unintelligible phone calls received and then multi email contacts repeatedly asking for personal details. Tried to cancel three weeks before receiving letter informing me that they wouldnt honour the insurance and that the policy was to be cancelled. In addition even though I had requested cancellation I learnt that I would be charged £110 to cancel. Absolutely disgusted and will actively disuade friends and colleagues from using this company. Can find nothing to recommend this insurance company

I renewed my contract. No documents were sent. I've phoned three times, and emailed twice. On my fourth call I get put on hold for 20 mins. The documents get sent through 9 times in 1 minute. I don't get the £50 cash back offered. The amount I was quoted was less than I paid. The call centre is obviously not UK-based and they couldn't be less helpful. I want to cancel because I don't trust them.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RUDE COMPANY. I received a renewal quote which I needed to amend. I called the customer service helpline, once the agent picked up and began asking about the security questions he became very very rude. He asked me and the policy holder the same question 6 times. Buy this time I was very angry buy his questions and manner of tone and asked to speak to a manager. He also didnt seem too interested so asked for his name and his manager (director). He then asked if i would like to purchase the policy..........NOOOO WAY!!!! I am waiting for the complaints team to call me, im sure they wont. Very rude customer service, its a good thing ive not needed to claim for something and needed to call them! they would probably put all blame on me!

Worst staff, worst contact centre! Always saying we will ring you back as the system is down, every time. Rude, patronising and can nearly understand them. Absolutely shocking service would advise anyone away from these. Had a sporty hot hatch and cost a bomb, sold it to a diesel family car that was sensible and only £10 cheaper. Joke of a company. STAY AWAY!

I had to send off for my licence which takes upto 3 weeks and made them aware of the situation but they still asked for my licence number. So after searching for it online i phoned back and because my new licence hadnt been registered yet they still cancelled my insurance. Unable to get to work which may result in me losing my job and home. How these people sleep at night is beyond me. Pathetic. Reason they are cheap is because they take your first payment and then throw hurdles in your face. I seriously hope these pathetic "people" go out of buisness!!!!!

I HATE this insurance company with a passion they are lazy and lie to customers. You are expected to do EVERYTHING whicht they should be doing like chasing the other side in a claim or even contacting your old insurance company. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THEM the stress they have brought upon me is not worth the low rate

Rude & unprofessional staff. No clue of the ground realities of UK as the customer service is in South Africa. Distressful & depressing to even think of calling them. Never thought Debenhams would have such pathetic levels of customer service. I called them to change my address & they charged me an extra 75 quid even though I moved to a secure area & a private property with garage. No explanation given as to the logic behind this except that the underwriters have done it. $ weeks back the same guys were quoting me 18 quid. Can't believe what changed in between a couple of weeks & it all looks like a scheme to loot & harass people. Never ever. Even with the clothes in their retail store.

THEY PROVIDE INSURNCE WITH THIRD PARTY AND AT LATE THEY WILL SAY THEY INSURNCE PROVIDER NOT ACCEPTING YOU FOR THE INSURANCE GIVING YOU HIGH CANCALATION CHARGES COMPARE TO ANY COMPANY CANCALATION CHARGES. THEY EVEN CAN'T CALL YOU AS THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE OUTSIDE FROM THE UK AND MOST OF THE CUSTOMER STAFF DON'T KNOW THERE POLICY AND UK CONSUMER RIGHT. SIMPLY KEEP AWAY, DON'T LOOK FOR CHEEP PRICE ONLY GO FOR SATISFICATION.

Hi purchased insurance with debenhams insurance last month. Every was perfect, went as smooth as could be. Yes you have to email proof of no claims but it ain't hard forwarding an email you receive from previous insurer. People make you think you should avoid this company!! However this company is saving you money!! I'm going to stick with this insurance for the years to come. No hassle, great great great. I have already recommended to colleges. There isn't anything I did not like about the service, or the way you have to send things. These guys are really helpfull. I rang a different insurer and the quires me £2000 for the year which is ludicrous!! I then explained to them that I had a quote from these guys (debenhams) which was in fact £348 for the year. The guy on the phone told me all about debenhams insurance and that the broker is southern rock and it's a fantastic price. He told me thathat he is actually insured with them. If I had any niggles which I did not, I'm pretty sure he would of ressured me. I hope this can go on and help people purchase their insurance through debenhams!!!!

At first I was sceptical to take out car insurance with Debenhams insurance as I had saw so many bad reviews online that it put me off. I asked for some advice on a local Facebook selling page to see if anyone had been insured with Debenhams before, and I received only positive feedback. But it seems these days people will only post feedback when they've had a negative experience to vent their frustration, hence why there are very few positive reviews for any company, especially smaller ones. I was still worried, so I spent time searching for a cheaper quote and couldn't find one anywhere. It turned out this company and Go Skippy were the cheapest, and they are both owned by the same company (Eldon Insurance Services). I did I lot of research before even considering using Debenhams, and after speaking to a very helpful man on the phone, I decided to go for it. I highly recommend asking for him his customer service skills are very good. I was concerned about the bad reviews I had read online and told him of this, he put my worries to rest. The call centre is based in South Africa, so you will need to make sure you spell everything out to them correctly due to the slight accent barrier, and ask them to spell it back to you so you know it is correct. This company will charge you admin fees for any incorrect information you supply, so do make sure it is 100% accurate. I noticed that my title had been entered in wrong and asked them to amend that while I was still on the phone so there wouldn't be an admin fee as that wasn't my mistake. This was done without question and the new paperwork emailed out to me immediately. They will ask you to email them a copy of your driving licence, licence summary and no claims discount (if you have it), for the policyholder and named drivers. I emailed this a few days after I started the policy and asked them to email me back to confirm it had been received. I received this email the following day (I emailed late at night) and then received a text to say they had received all required documentation. So far overall I am very impressed from the customer service I have received from Debenhams car insurance and the advisor and I do hope it stays that way. I have only given 4 stars for now and I will come back to update my review further down the line. If this level of service continues I'm sure they will receive 5 stars from me. The only thing I think this company could improve on is how quickly they answer the phone, be prepared to be on hold for roughly 10 minutes when you want to speak to anyone.

I took a policy out with them due to being the cheapest on Meerkat's website. I came from a company called RCIB. After being with them for 3 months, I'm generally happy. I recently upgraded to a 530D from a C4 and it was only an extra 250, which is amazing coompared to RCIB. There was a £50 admin charge which is not fair as it doesn't cost them £50 to change a vehicle. Still, no headaches, their customer service is good and helpful. Not a bad effort.

I took out insurance for my first car with Debenhams paying a year up front, then found it cheaper else where. My friend mentioned the reviews for Debenhams were awful, so I was really worried I wouldn't get my money back. I emailed them to cancel with the needed documents attached. they cancelled my insurance within two days and the money was back in my account two days later.customer service was also good and on the two occasions I called they were very helpful.

I HAVE JUST BEEN ROBBED BY DEBENHAMS CAR INSURANCE THEY HAVE CHARGED ME £216 FOR 18 DAYS COVER WHEN I TRY TO CONTACT THEM I AM EITHER LEFT ON HOLD INDEFINITELY OR THEY HANG UP ON ME, I SENT THEM EVERYTHING THEY ASKED FOR, THEN PAID FULLY UPFRONT ALL MY PREMIUM, I PRESUMED ALL WAS OK AS I DIDN'T HEAR BACK FROM THEM, THEN SURELY ENOUGH AFTER THE 14 DAY SO CALLED COOLING OFF PERIOD THEY CONTACTED ME SAYING THEY WANT ANOTHER £598 HANG ON A MINUTE I JUST PAID £304, SO WHEN I SAID I COULD NOT PAY THAT AMOUNT I WOULD HAVE TO CANCEL, FROM THEN ON COMMUNICATION WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL, ONLY TO SAY I WOULD HAVE £87 REFUNDED, THEY DID NOT GIVE ME A BREAKDOWN OF COSTING WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, IT HAS BEEN A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE, THE WORST INSURANCE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN 40 YEARS, THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH TREATING PEOPLE THIS WAY, SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE TO STOP THIS HORRENDOUS RIP OFF.
