“Cancellation fee of £400?!!!”

Make sure you read the ever so small fine print on any contract with Co-Op. My sister had to sell her car due to moving; when she tried to cancel the insurance (paid up front of a year) and claim back the outstanding amount she was informed that her cancellation fee was £450 and the refund was £400, so she owed them £50 for cancelling the insurance. She had no choice but to leave the insurance in place on a car that she no longer even owned.
A complete and utter rip off. Avoid, avoid.
