I paid for 1 year house insurance.
At the end I always look for a cheaper deal.
Churchill sent me a renewal proposal, which I ignored because they were dearer than the rest.
Then I found they had renewed my cover without my asking.
I had to phone them, at my expense, to cancel the policy.
They wanted £24.50 to close the policy, even though I hadn't asked for it.
I threatened County Court action and they backed down.
I'll never use them again.
