Made a terrible mistake in transferring my allegiance for car insurance to Churchill. In over 50 years of motoring I have never experienced such confusion and lack of customer care - and the cheapness of the premium is irrelevant (I bet it will be a lot higher next year). The problem ? Repeated demands by Churchill for proof of my maximum NCB. A couple of calls to the jokinglsy labelled 'Customer Care' centre resulted in much confusion, incorrect information and being told to 'write in'. I did, but nil replies after several weeks.
I strongly advise that, when dealing with this company, copies of all correspondence and attachments be retained with dates and times of phone calls - remember also they use 0845 numbers so it will cost you.
Whatever the cost or saving, needless to say, I will not be renewing with Churchill and will also be changing my house and contents insurance.
Sorry Churchill, I have lost confidence in you.
