I wish people wlduon't use answers to link to their own website.First of all: In the UK there are many aggregator' websites comparing car insurance premiums they charge the insurer for any policy placed with them so that the insurer gets no cost advantage and the customer finds they have bought a policy through a middleman (the website) that will be of no benefit to them should they need help.To a lesser extent buying through an insurance company online is similar. During ice storm slid and hit a pipe. Impact blew dampening motor mount, caused the AC generator to fail, a leak in the transfer case, shredded the underbody shroud and blew a tire. Central said the impact could not have caused any problems with the AC generator, transfer case or underbody shroud. The dealer pointed out that the impact and motor mount oil certainly could have damaged both the AC gen. and the transfer case. Car was checked at the dealer just a few months before crash and all... I agree with you! My husband got hit in the side by one of their clients. They admitted fault at the scene, never even asked for our Ins. co. ... We reported in one hour after the accident ... they took my husbands statement and we had to call them in 3 wks to refresh their memory ... their client never called them. It was so cut and dried who was at fault and they have denied claim. I wouldn't touch these people (crooks) with a ten foot pole.
