Asda failed to send the car insurance policy to me (soft or hard copy) so I cancelled in November 2014 as I wasn't happy with the basics of the service and would not trust them in the event of an accident. I had to argue to get a full refund (they wanted to charge a £47 cancellation fee).Called for an update and was told a cheque had been sent out (why couldn't they refund me to my debit card?). We never received it and called again asking where the refund was - told the chaeque had been sent out so I explained we hadn't received it (this was early Jan 2015). Told they would have to investigate whether the cheque had been cashed (which is fair enough) and that they would get back to me. They failed to get back to me so I rang today (16/2/2015) - person was very helpful but explained that they had not checked whether the cheque had been cashed - this would need to be done before any refund could be sent out (they owe me £299) and this would be done by close of play today.Not holding out much hope but won't be using Asda again - shopping included>
