After being hit from behind and going into the back of another car. The initial sorting a hire vehicle and getting my vehicle into a garage (GB Taxi Service) was relatively smooth. After 3 weeks of them having my car, I attempted to collect my Monday at 8pm due to my work commitments which they were happy with and my car wouldn't drive properly. I called them the next morning (Tuesday) after driving to work and due to me being at work had to take it to them on Wednesday morning. By this point the car was not driving properly and the engine light had come on. They plugged it into there machine and the engine light came off and they said the car should be fine now. The following day, I called RAC and said my car is broken down and they suggested it could have been from the accident. Albany assistance then compared the mileage from when the mechanic had it till RAC looked at my car and they suggested I racked up 650 miles in my car which is impossible. I was adamant that it was the mechanic but as I couldn't prove it the fault was seen as mine. I was then being told to find out what the problem even as the mechanic (GB Taxi Service) couldn't find out what the problem was because Albany assistance were adamant that it is down to wear and tear which they had no idea about as no one knew what was wrong with the car. After weeks of arguing and eventually giving up I took the car to my trusted mechanic who upon opening the bonnet could tell exactly what was wrong with the car fixed it and also noticed that my radiator was moving back and forth and not bolted into place which needed to be done after my bonnet and front panel was repaired/replaced(finally some evidence that GB Taxi Service really do have bad people working for them). I very much doubt Albany assistance care that my radiator is knocking back and forth due to the works carried out by there authorised mechanic. Yesterday I sent a video to Albany assistance showing it moving back and forth and I called today and I was expected to get a quote from somewhere as if I do not work 9-5 and haven't been inconvenienced due to the mechanics (GB Taxi service) authorised by Albany assistance.
I very much doubt anything will happen as no one seems to care but I do hope I can save someone else from the headache I have had to deal with.

Just as an update for anyone reading this.

I was not contacted directly regarding this.

I had to wait over a month for initial complaint to be reviewed. They apologised for the poor service I had received and said we will not take your complaint forward.
You may be confused as to how they could apologise and then refuse to accept my complaint, but nothing Albany Assistance does or says should be suprising.

I am having the same issue at present - car not fixed after repair and all sorts of faults coming up(one related to a hole in the alternator!) - so left with a broken car that they are not interested in!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
