i had insurance with Diamond & rang them when I had an accident and I was on for about 20mins explaining. They then put me in touch with Albany for a recovery vehicle & to arrange repairs - I had no choice it was either use Albany or claim on my own insurance and fight for the costs back off the 3rd party so my hands were tied. 40mins they had me on the phone for wanting to know the ins and outs of a ducks ass and it was 9.30pm, the complicated emails I got asking me to sign and enter a contract with 'obligation to pay' were very complicated I still don't know what ive agreed to. The other side have agreed liability so why they want me to sign these obligation docs etc is beyond me. Wouldn't use again in the past I've reported accident the car's been fixed end of but not with this lot. I will avoid at all costs.

I agree 100% with the issues that this person faced. It matches my experience totally. I am amazed that there are so many 5* reviews. Personally I had no issue whatsoever with the repairs carried out on my car (the garage were excellent) or the car hire side of things (they thought that what I had been told by Albany was laughable). My issue lies with Albany Assistance.

My gut feel is that many of the 5* reviews have failed to make a distinction between the different elements of the whole (byzantine) repair process.
