My car was written off by a lorry 4 weeks ago and I rang the police got all the paperwork from them and rang insurance company whilst still on the road side. Can't fault them on sorting recovery of the vehicle or organising the hire car which I picked up the following day! “avoid do not use this company”

Someone drove into our parked vehicle. Ageas were informed of the incident on the day it happened and arranged for the car to be collected the next day. We heard nothing for a week so we contact them as we only had a replacement car for a week. They rudely told us it will take 2 weeks. They confirmed this in an email saying all claims will be settled within 2 weeks. We have been having horrendous trouble with this insurance.... Cannot be bothered to call or contact you. Daughter left stranded in country lane as they told us curtesy car was not available although on policy it was blamed lloyds for not providing. This simple claim has been going on for over 3 mths now.... I have sent documents 4 times now and today had a letter stating they want v5 copy which they have already had.... Hello there

I have just read your review I will say I had a claim with them in 2013 . Where I had the same type of problem with a holiday claim .the thing is I took this clam to the financal ombusemen service it has taken 12 mouths .but was found in my favor . The thing is this was. Matter on the turms and conditions of the policy saying that I had not reported this to the police with in 24 hours whitch I did . The thing is I thought I would of had my money buy now . But this company has used an other thing with the terms and conditions .to get out of paying the full amount saying I have not got proof of purchuse for the items . But I know they have had them in the post .i am going to be honest you may have to wait 12 mounths but get a finail responce from why they have let you down and put a complant. In to the financail ombusemen service I would strongly advise this .wish you good luck with the outcome

“don't care attitude with no communication”

Our neighbours are with Ageas and have driven into our house, smashing not only our car but a metal large shed, calor gas bottles, and many other items. We have rang Ageas on the 19th October to report and start a claim on our neighbours policy with Ageas and still waiting for some form of help. We have rang several times and spoken to an adviser who keeps promising to call us back BUT NOTHING. Sent 3 emails complaining and oh wat a surprise still NOTHING. I am surprised that you are claiming against the other party's insurers, do you not have house insurance and if you do, why are they not involved ?

A) why should I claim on my insurance and my premiums go up when not our fault. At 81 years of age and clearly with a medical condition that they haven't declared to Ageas they shouldn't be driving.

They used the wrong address for the policy then sent a letter requesting documents to that wrong address. When I did not respond as required they cancelled the policy and awarded themselves a 50 pound fee for getting the address wrong. I was unfortunate enough to have a motoring accident which culminated in my small van being written off. Fortunately no one was injured. This company was excellent and the claim was sorted out immediately. My van was recovered, tax disc returned and I was paid out all within 10 days. “Bullying call centre staff put words in your mouth”

Terrible customer service. Bullying manner made me feel like a criminal despite ringing them to inform them of changes of circumstances. Call centre choose to ignore a fact on their own policy document. Horrendous experience speaking to them on the phone. I had taken out home insurance via Age UK and like another reviewer I suggest Age UK change their underwriter to one who does not treat their customers in this way. “Stay well clear, wish I had”

Took out home insurance with Age UK who put me with AGEAS!! they have no e mail address only phone numbers listed. Difficult when you are disabled and cannot use the phone!! I took out legal cover, but when I asked for help was told I was not covered, complained and several weeks later told again, not covered and the file had been closed!! Terrible 5 months after non fault accident still asking to close my claim so I can get my NCB back, Never any call backs after promises made allways have to chase and in no hurry to do anything or appologise. “Can't be bothered to back up their customers. ”

5 months ago I was taking the first exit off a roundabout. The "lady" in the right hand lane also decided to take the first exit. Without looking she drove into the side of my stopped car. Actually. It was just under 2 months to authorise my repairs. It just felt like longer as I had to call them so many times.

Admittedly now there definitely are solicitors on the case and a manager has called back to address my concerns. Still not happy with the way some of the call centre staff have handled my concerns and that if I didn't chase it up, the solicitors may not have been in pace, but to be fair they've now done as much as they can. Much happier.

I have never claimed on my home insurance I have the full package which does cost more than others having claimed for an accident for a tv I was put through to another company who the took my money for excess sbs insurance then sent a van out when they were available? Took out car insurance with them under the broker CarLine Direct as it seemed like a good price. 4 days later I get a call saying that I input incorrect information, so now the policy has increased by over £120. Told them to cancel it, which now they are charging me £50 for.
