I have been a customer of Admiral for many years - and spent a substantial sum of money on car insurance. Having purchased a new vehicle 10 months into my existing policy, I called their customer services to gain a proof of no claims discount.
Having transferred my no claims discount of 7 years to my new insurer &:
1. PAID AN ADDITIONAL £95.00 FOR THE REMAINING 2 MONTHS OF MY EXISTING POLICY
2. STILL KEEPING THIS POLICY IN PLACE FOR ITS FULL 12 MONTH DURATION
ADMIRAL refuse to increase the no claims discount from 7 years to 8 years - which it should become on the 19.4.2015!
Additionally the person I dealt with had a broad, hard to understand accent, was based in Canada - and appeared to be devoid of basic knowledge.
