Husband has been an AXA customer for 2 years, involved in an accident which wasn't his fault.
They have refused to offer enough money to replace the car (only just over a year old & in excellent condition) with a like-for-like replacement - they will only offer the AVERAGE of the values (trade values as far as we can tell) in the "guides", leaving us about £700 short. They won't say which guides they've used but have sent us examples of what they think are suitable replacement cars - the majority several hundred pounds more than they've offered and with no proof of warranty (we had 6 years left on ours).
They declare they are "happy" with what they have offered and that it's to ensure they're being fair to the third party's insurance company! They obviously don't care at all about their own customers.
Needless to say we've contacted the Ombudsman & are taking legal advice as this has caused untold stress & taken up huge amounts of time - all for an accident my husband didn't cause.
