Thrifty/Dollar in Dublin was a terrible experience!!

I have rented a car several times in the states and a few times in the UK and Ireland and the Thrifty/Dollar car rental was extremely frustrating.I have had good experiences with Thrifty/Dollar in the past so I decided to go with a name I thought I could trust.So even though their price was higher I went with them.I always have everything done beforehand so I am able to make comparisons to select the best deal.However when I arrived in Dublin the cost for the insurance was over double what I was told it would be.We then had to load and unload three different times(about two hours) as there was something that did not work on the car(cigarette lighter for Garmin and drivers seat).When I returned the car I was informed that I would have to pay for a new tire($140.00) as there was damage done to the sidewall.I could not remember hitting anything but there was damage to the tire(about the size of a dime)of grooved cuts.I am not sure what would make such cuts but I wish I had been with him when he checked the car.The cost of the tire wasn't prorated so I guess this is part of Thrifty's never have to buy a tire program.In the future I will take a picture of the car and tires before and after the car rental.So if you have any other option I would stay away from the Thrifty/Dollar rental in Dublin as I walked away feeling scammed.
