We always use RentalCars.com now as our go-to provider, as we feel we get better prices and better overall service than going directly to one of the providers they use. When we have had a problem with a car or in a rental, Rentalcars.com has always resolved it on our behalf to our complete satisfaction, and has had more "clout" to get things resolved than we would ever have had on our own against the big-boys. They work with suppliers like Hertz, Avis, Eurpocar and even if their headline price has looked dearer than a direct booking, there are no hidden extras like the ones that have caught us out when we went direct to those other suppliers. We always go via Rentalcars now.
