No problem with the car or the price from rentalcars.com. The only gripe was the pick up arrangements. Rentalcars.com used (in this occasion) Budget which diverted to Avis (are they all the same company?). There was no hire desk for Budget/Avis at the terminal we arrived at at Nice (we had to get a free shuttle bus to the other terminal - took 15 mins) where there was an hour's queue at the Avis/Budget desk (perhaps we were unlucky at arriving at 12.30 when lots of other flights may have simultaneously arrived). With two children and all feeling hot and tired after the flight that morning, this wasn't a positive experience even though the check in process when we got to the head of the queue was efficient. We noticed no waits at Hertz or the other rental desks.

Other than the collection at Nice, all went well. Now just waiting to see if Avis try to charge me retrospectively for something...
