Worst hire company in Spain!!!!

Over the last 10 years I have used all car hire companies from Malaga airport and normally stay with one in particular company but in this case I chose Record go car rental because they were slightly cheaper online, never again. From the moment we reached the hire desk it was obvious we’d made a mistake. We paid the online price which seemed reasonable (not much cheaper than others) but when we collected the car we had to pay additional costs for insurance and accidental damage. We were also informed that if we returned the car full of fuel I would also receive the full payment of 55 Euro which I also had to pay on top of all other costs. The car was returned full and the receptionist told me that I would receive my full fuel deposit of 55 Euro within 1-2 days, five weeks later and after dozens of mails and phone calls I received a payment of 44 Euro. I contacted Record who informed that the vehicle wasn’t returned full even after showing “full” on the return document. On top of that, the car that was given was damaged and dirty inside and out, I complained but was told there wasn’t any other car available. This was my first time with Record go hire company and will certainly be the last!!!
I have to say that it was my mistake choosing Record over my usual hire company but these things happen, never again. I will ensure that all family and friends know what type of car hire company Record are and my review will also be given with the true facts of the hire agreement.
