Booked through 'Do You Spain' got a price of Euro-210 for a Golf or similar for 18 days. I was a bit worried about using them because of all the terrible reviews they get. I suppose you are more likely to leave a bad review than a good one so I'm hoping to even it out a little. I was more than happy with every thing record did for us. Yes you get charged for a full tank of fuel that you have to return empty (which is nearly impossible at the best of times) but that's now standard in Spain I have found. Yes you need to pay for full insurance if you don't use a credit card, again standard and fully advertised. I take the full insurance anyway so I can relax and not worry about Spanish car parks! People ranting and raving about hidden charges simply didn't read the small print or do their homework! Anyway, got to the desk, guy spoke good English, he was quite relieved I knew about the fuel and insurance as many before me didn't and gave him quite a hard time. I didn't get a Golf but I did get a brand new I30 with 6km on the clock!! I don't know why they use black cars in Spain can you imagine how hot it got in the sun? Anyway all went well, managed to use the whole tank but it did take 18 days, I do feel sorry for people who have to pay and only use quarter, it is a rip off and it does need to change, its also pretty bad for the environment as you're actually trying to use more fuel to get your moneys worth!! In all- Thanks Record-go (Alicanty airport)I had a good customer experience and would use you again in the future. please try to change the fuel policy. Lead the way.....
