I have used Nova on many occasions in the past and have had no complaints.

This time I reserved an economy car, a VW Polo or equivalent, to pick up from Europcar Birmingham downtown office.

I arrived at 8am and was allocated a vehicle. I drove off but was a bit surprised at how small the car was.

On my return to Europcar, I checked the car category and the equivalent substitute only to discover that I had been given a "Mini" car, not the "Economy" I had requested.

I was not informed by the staff either at check in or check out about the substitution. I complained and the check out staff member gave me a refund of 3 pounds, a very grudging sorry and that was it!

Not the kind of service I can recommend.
