“Terrible breakdown support”

I booked through Nova car for a trip to Sicily and upon arrival at the airport picked up my car from Europcar, it was a pretty straight-forward process. On the 5th day into our holiday however our car broke down outside a small town, two hours away from our hotel and it was 8pm in the evening. It took 1.5 hours for someone to pick up the car and we were informed that another car would not be available until the next morning, and would need to go back to Palermo airport to collect it. Without passports on us we were unable to check into a hotel and the only offer we had from Europcar was 100 Euros contribution to a taxi, but as long as we could prove the car was broken!

Luckily for us the driver of the car transporter took pity on us and put us up in a friends B&B and drove us to Palermo the next day. If it wasn't for this man we would of been without options as Europcar showed now support.

The service at Palermo head office was also rude and unhelpful, but we adventurely got away with the car fixed by lunchtime.
