I used Europcar at Faro Airport last week (May/June2012) and have to say they were brilliant.
I'd already prepaid in the UK through Holiday Autos so it was just a matter of turning up at the desk and going through the motions.
The staff there were very helpful and quick but explained everything fully. I've used Europcar before out of Lisbon so was already aware of the process but the staff in Faro bent over backwards to help.
Then when dropping the car back off everything ran so smoothly and the bus that takes you to the airport from their off-sight drop off was ready and waiting and plenty more afterwards so you are not left hanging around.

I'd recommend them anytime and they deserve a mention and pat on the back for their professionalism.
