I went to Mallorca in June of 2012 with family. We stayed in Sa Coma and before going booked a car through Thomson Holidays for four days to be picked up(and returned)at Hiper branch in Cala Millor.

Hence no experience of the airport shuttle. Nor was there a problem with fuel as rentals of less then 7 days are on a full tank pick-up, full tank return. The fuel policy was clearly stated in the rental contract so I knew what to expect. Perhaps the customers who complained about the fuel policy did not bother to read their contract.

The vehicle was a 5 seater Kia. a bit knocked about but the lady at Hiper filled in the damage report, signed it and gave me a copy.

There were two staff members at Hiper, both Spanish ladies. I find that if one is polite and smiles a bit it is invariably reciprocated as it was in this case.

At Cala Millor the car is returned to a public car park about 200 metres away from the branch office. When I took the keys back to the office the ladies smiled their thanks and turned down my offer to inspect the car.

The car was fine and,icing on the cake,I paid less than any of the advertised local prices.
