roberts1678's review of Hertz Car Rental

“Crappy GPS, nice car, great people.”

First let me say I'm from the US, and this was my first time in Wales. I rented a Ford Fiesta (Diesel) for 5 days. Picked the car up in Holyhead, Wales and dropped it off in Fishguard, Wales. I thought the people that worked at these offices were very nice and helpful(best they could). Unfortunately I was given a old and terrible Tom Tom GPS that quit working 40 minutes into my trip through the mountains and areas I was completely unfamiliar with. Luckly my phone got me where I was going (barely), because the $100 GPS (5day rental) was a joke. I was disappointed to find out that I could not get a replacement, but the guy at the Fishguard office gave me some maps and tried to help the best he could. He also deleted the $100 GPS charge, which I was happy about. The fact that this company is still using ancient GPS like this and charging so much for it is a kinda pathetic. Overall I would use again, but I would bring my own GPS.
