I had taken time in planning my visit to the UK from Spain. Selected hotels and the car I wanted for the visit. All were prepaid a month in advance. When I got to the Hertz rental desk I was informed that I would need TWO credit cards for the car I had selected, however the second card I offered was not accepted. So although the car was available and paid for, I would not be able to have this car. I had to accept a different car, which was in fact cheaper, although not my choice. Refunds had to be arranged (though I have not yet seen a refund on my bank statement). I also had to wait an hour while the alternative car was prepared!
I do not see why I should have more than one credit card account - I don't need credit at all!!
I shall be taking my business elsewhere in future!
