I hired a car for a month through the agent Cahire3000. When I found out that it would be through Hertz, I was kind of nervous. I have had problems with them in the past with the post-hire charges they like to randomly add to your account.
After a month of hire, I returned the car and - whaddayaknow - a week later my bank account was rifled to the tune of nearly £100. I sent a message to Hertz through their website to try to find out what the charge related to. The reply I got sent a copy of the invoice (which I already had), along with a cut and paste e-mail telling me that I had agreed to the charges before I booked the car (!?). They didn't bother specifying what these charges related to - just that I had agreed to them before the rental. I sent another e-mail asking them to be more specific. All I got back was yet another copy of the invoice.
I have now sent a third e-mail and will follow this up with a phonecall - cue 30 minutes listening to elevator music...will keep you posted.

Just came back from my holidays and keep checking my account too as I completely agree that they want to charge you for everything and the only excuse is \"you've agreed\".
