PLEASE DONT GET CONNED LIKE WE DID.
I thought we had a really good deal from Hertz when booking through Ryanair website, 2 weeks in Lanzarote for £162 - everything included except the tank full of fuel, to be paid for at the airport. I booked and paid IN FULL by debit card online.
On arrival at the airport we were asked for the card the booking had been made with and were told they dont take debit cards. We were asked for a credit card and assured the booking had only been HELD with the debit card as they dont accept debit card payments, even after showing our paperwork stating PAID. We eventually handed over a credit card after being assured that we weren't being charged twice. WRONG THING TO DO!!
On our return home I checked my account to find I had paid on my debit card so contacted Hertz to be informed we had signed up for
