Had to wait for a long time at the rental place, which wasn't ideal. Found out that although the rent al location is listed as St. Pancrass, in fact it's in Russel Square so is just within the congestion charge zone - so another £10 charge +VAT straight away, which wasn't ideal - they should definitely label this on the website. Anyway, picked up the (quite badly scratched) car, and drove off.
After dropping the car back on the Sunday and later in the week I get an invoice in the week charging me over £50 for pre-arranged fuel charges. This came as a surprise, since I clearly stated to the Hertz employee at the counter that I did NOT want to pay for this and would prefer to return the car with a full tank.
Phoned up to complain and, to be fair, the customer services rep was helpful. That said, it will take them 2 weeks to get back to me, and in the meantime I'm £50 down + £10 congestion charge down than I would've been if I used Avis just up the road.
Needless to say, no satnav or map was included with the car either.
