“Amazing deal and great service”

Having found an amazing deal with Green Motion for car hire during Glastonbury weekend, I was a little worried that there'd be some sort of catch. How wrong I was; I had no need to worry. The instructions provided beforehand by email were clear and helped me prepare well for the car pick-up. I also chatted to them on the phone beforehand, it was easy to get through and I found them friendly and helpful. “Fantastic prices and service”

I have used Green Motion three times in the last year. The prices are the best I can find for Bristol airport. They are off site by about 2 mins!), but the drop off and pick-up is virtually with no waiting. On our last rental we upgraded our car with a fantastic price offered. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would use them every time we fly though Bristol airport. The cars we have had were in great condition. I have rented from Green Motion at Bristol Airport on five occasions this year. I have always had brilliant cheerful service. Even on the couple of occasions when my flight has arrived later than the normal office hours. I have always found them to be very amenable to my requests. car type booked - passat estate, car received Kia Carens (nice car but seriously underpowered for passing tractors on country roads). hertz have a better selection of cars. cost of car for 8 days was 238 pounds - cheap i thought! 2 kiddy car seats needed and paid about 150 for them for the 8 days. extortionate and twice the price of hertz. why not try to differentiate yourselves from the very competitive market and give them for free and tell people that you believe that its wrong to charge… Read Full Review

With so many car hire companies to choose from in and around Bristol Airport, it's hard to find a good one that doesn't charge you the earth for everything. I've had the pleasure of using 'Green Motion Bristol' a couple of times now and I cannot recommend them enough. I booked and paid in advance for my hire car online, they are by far the cheapest on offer. “Can't be beaten for pick up and value for money”

I regularly hire with GreenMotion Bristol for the following reasons: I get picked up and don't have to drag my case up or down ramps or steps ( as with the other companies). This is great especially if it is raining. I often have my elderly mother with me and to be able to wheel her along a flat path to the pick up is really helpful. I can think of very few service providers I have come across who provide such a personable and friendly service whilst at the same time offer very decent rates. I have used Green Motion for over two years and in all that time I have had nothing to complain of. The staff are great as are their cars/service et cetra. I always seem to get a better deal with them over anyone else. I arrive at the airport, ring to let them know I've arrived and usually within 10 minutes I am taken the couple of minute drive to their depot. “Horrible location and service, AVOID AT ALL COST”

I rented a car for two days in Bristol through Atlaschoice and got a car from Green Motion, who I wasn't familiar with. Upon arriving to their Bristol Airport location (which isn't really at the airport but a long walk away in a dinghy alley with only 1 small room) I noticed straight away the staff were very rude to another client. I read you review with interest and you have been true to your word. You did say you'd write bad reviews on as many sites as possible. Quick work might I say!
As the owner and the person who served you I am astonished how inaccurate your account is.
For the benfit of balance:
Point 1: Proof of address - as you are taking an extremely valuable asset away it's essential proof of identity is provided. This is not unusual as I'm sure you're aware - having rented cars on a regular basis.
Point 2: Amex - I apologised for not taking Amex. Amex is not accepted in more places than it is accepted. I'm sure you're aware that it has it's limitations.
Point 3: As with all hire company's the card used needs to be in the name of the driver. This meant your husband would have to be the hirer with you as the additional. Additional drivers are charged at £8/day - a standard and competitive charge accross the car hire market.
Point 4: Drivers licence - Your husband did not have his counterpart licence - this part shows if he has any endorsements. It's essential we know this detail - for obvious reasons. You were given the opportunity for us to do a licence check which you turned down.
It's regretable you feel it necessary to 'pad out' you're complaint in order to give the completely false impression of our location here. We are individually owned franchised branch that has many thousands of happy, satisfied and loyal regular customers. It's hard to find any bad reviews of the Bristol branch of Green Motion so we reject completely the negative comments regarding our customer service.
Lets be clear - your original complaint was that we don't take Amex - which we were sorry for - but to extend your disattisfaction beyond this is unreasonable and vindictive indicating it was Green Motion, Bristol who was the party who had a lucky escape. I strongly recommend other hire car company's avoid Elizabethf339.

You are not addressing the main issue in my complaint which was the level of customer service you provided, apart from saying you "wholly reject the complaint". The truth is you were abrupt and rude, and your colleague was chuckling. In what kind of a world is this acceptable?

It is obvious you robustly defend yourself on different sites - to the point of creating fake profiles for writing fake reviews! Thankfully people have noticed it and are now mentioning it in their reviews. It seems your clever strategy is backfiring. How about just providing a decent service in the first place so you wouldn't need to boost your points in a deceitful manner?

By the way, I went straight to Bristol Airport car hire services, and was welcomed by many friendly and smiley agents from four different companies that I've used before, all of whom accepted Amex gladly. And after reading everyone else's reviews about the level of customer service you provide when returning the car (making people pay for scratches that were already in the very old and battered cars you provide), I'm so happy we rented from elsewhere. With zero problems, I might add!

A long walk away in a dingy alley! Not the Green Motion I went to! Got quickly collected from the airport and taken to a neat portacabin that had a small but reasonable office and toilet facilities available as well. I did walk once when returning the car out of hours having dropped my wife and luggage at the airport, then a 10 minute walk. No probs. Could always pay more I suppose and use a company on the Airport!!!
