I booked a car from Goldcar for the period of 11 days and collected it from the Faro airport in Portugal. I paid for full to full option at booking time but they still wanted to pay deposit for full tank of petrol, couldn't understand why??? I returned the car with full tank, but didn't get back my deposit for petrol in full, just part of it! I'm trying to get explanation but they ignore my emails and messages in their claim customer service system! AVOID THIS CHEATING COMPANY!!! It was my worst ever car hire experience!

Dear customer,
We are sorry to hear that your experience with us at our office in Faro was not as expected. Allow me to explain our fuel policy; during the booking process customers have the option of purchasing two fuel plans: our Flex Fuel plan, where the customer pre-purchases a full tank and receives a refund for unused fuel (no need to return it empty), minus a handling and administration fee. The second plan is a Full to Full, where the customer pre-purchases a full tank and is refunded the same amount when returning the vehicle with a full tank. Please respond to this comment with your contract number, so that I may personally look into the fuel system you booked.
