With this review I would like to share the very negative experience I had with goldcar.

Goldcar claimed that during the rental I caused “scratches on both rim wheels right” of the vehicle I rented. This was false!

Background:
1. At the time of pick-up the “check-out“ form provided to me listing the car damages/scratches/bumps indicated that the car had NONE;
2. Prior leaving the car rental parking lot, the car rental attendant asked me to sign the “check-out“ form reporting the ZERO damages …however, I noticed several evident damages/scratches/bumps so I quickly checked the car and revised the form to report the damages that I was able to detect: NINE in total vs ZERO (from the initial document provided by the car rental company);
3. I dropped the car during after-hours so I couldn’t dispute the car rental claim regarding the “scratches“.

Timeline:
1. I used the car for approximately 8 hours, from April 21 (2015) at 5pm to April 22 at 1am;
2. during this period of time I drove (no accidents/bumps) to a nearby restaurant, parked (perpendicular with no cars on either side of the car rental) the car at the guarded private parking lot of the restaurant; and then drove (no accidents/bumps) back to the airport, dropped the car (after hours) at the rental car gated parking lot within the Milan Malpensa Airport, and dropped the car rental keys in the drop box;
3. On April 22, I received an email from the car rental with the attached report about the scratches;
4. On April 22, the car rental charged (without my authorization) $594 to my credit card for the “scratches”;
5. On April 23, I emailed the car rental location manager to dispute the “accident“ and to request to re-credit the $594 to my credit card;
6. …no words from goldcar (I even called several times but the manager is missing in action)
