I wouldn't normally bother leaving a review unless something really pleases me or angers me.... Goldcar are terrible! I hired a car for a few days from Granada airport, Spain. The manager served me, all sweet and lovely (you know the drill). Then came the part where he tried to sell me the extra insurance to cover the excess. I have a UK policy which covers me for this excess payment in such an event (I hire cars a lot in Spain). I explained to him in both Spanish and English that his extra 50€ policy wasn't needed. The guy became actively angry at the thought of loosing his commission, I thought he was going to have a heart attack! It was just embarrassing. I won't be using them again!

Please note that the standard procedure for our rental staff at our check-in counters is offering full coverage for customers’ peace of mind and always as an alternative to blocking a deposit in their credit card (unblocked 15-20 days later). In case of any damages to the car, if they have third party supplier coverage, such as yourself, they can later request a refund from them. We hope the rest of your rental experience with us was satisfactory.
