Cheap for a reason. We read reviews beforehand and saw the don't touch with a barge pole comments so caveat emptor!
On arrival at Ciampina GoldCar desk others were complaining. Sure enough none of the customer service lines are active so you're on your own unless you come back to the service desk!
Then all the small print - and there is a ton. You are responsible for everything including wear and tear. So damage to a tyre: that's £50 admin fee and £180 charge.
This company is the biggest rip off ever. Essentially any return will be made to cough up a charge (we'd thankfully marked a few minor ones which the clerk was otherwise trying to add).
Expect to double your rental fee in excesses and admin fees whether you caused them or not. Nearest thing to daylight robbery.

However, please note that any possible damages need to be covered for, and that our basic coverage (as well as third party suppliers’) has a few exclusions. Customers are offered our full coverage for their peace of mind or
the option of leaving a deposit on their credit card (“unfrozen” 15-20 days later). Also, please take into consideration that even after adding a full tank of fuel and full coverage, our prices are very economical and our cars are top rate.
