Arrived in Malaga Airport at 10.30pm to find a huge queue at the Goldcar desk-waitied 3 hours to be served,we had been advised before hand of the increased insurance charge and had then taken our own fully comp insurance out.However Goldcar insisted on charging me 600E excess which would be refunded if there was no damage to the car. Needless to say I was by this time very irate and let the gentleman at the desk know it. We were then told to pick up the keys at the office in the rental carpark, which when we eventually found it was closed at 9pm-obviously the man at the desk was getting his own back! We have never had to pay for fuel upfront before either , the car is usually full and you return it as full, so your only paying for what you use. We paid 75 Euros for fuel and when we returned it it was still 1/2 full. I will never rent a car from Goldcar again and would not advise any one to do so.
