I rang this company and booked a car over the phone.The young girl went through all the info and gave me a price what i was happy with. She asked why i needed the car to which i said i am starting a new job and need to collect my company car from Leeds. She asked if we were flying into stansted or do we live local. I replied live just down the road in Dunmow. She advised me i needed to bring proof of ID, and said a drivers licence and passport would do.
So the next day up to EuRopcar stansted airport i went with me Passport and licence, Only to be told when i got there that i now needed two more proofs of ID as i lived local and had not flown in to stansted. I was livid at this point as i should have been advised of this over the phone. I was then told i can't have a car unless i go and get this proof of ID. She then asked if she could check my licence which she did and then said i could not have a car as the check failed. I am a fifty year old man with a really good credit rating and No court judgements. and i own my own house. It was now too late to sort travel out to get to leeds for the next morning. I might loose the job because of this persons lack of knowledge and professionalism. Lucky for me Hertz sorted me out with No issues. Would never use EuRopcar ever again.
