“My car was damaged by third party while it was parked...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by rinaraimiah on 28/10/2015

My car was damaged by third party while it was parked and their insurance company provided me with enterprise courtesy car. When Enterprise car was dropped off, the Salesgirl inspected the car and said its fine however I noticed scuffs and scratches on the car and I raised a question, she said its okay and didn’t note them down. I hardly used their car and it was in same condition when they came to pick it up. When they came to collect the car, the salesguy inspected the car and said, looks ok to me but the driver interrupted and said It doesn’t look allright, there is a cut in the front tyre, it was a tiny cut. Following the drivers comment, the Salesman started writing down the description, scuffs scratches, cut on tyre, he changed his tone upon that drivers comment. The salesman convinced me if description matches with the notes in the system at office than there is nothing to worry about and asked me to sign paper. It is obvious I had to sign the paper as I am handing over the car keys.
30mins after they left, I received a phone call from Enterprise rude staff demanding me to make a payment for the scratches which was already there when they gave me the car but failed to put in the system and that I have signed the documents. Its obvious that salesgirl didnt put them down in computer and those scums picked up and it looks like it was their plan.

He stated that he already has my debit card details when they took deposit of £1.00, and asked me Is it okay to take the £150.00 excess from your card? I explained the situation but he argued and demanded me to take the responsibility and pay for it. I refused and wrote a complaint letter to the head office same day. I have a proof it has been delivered but today it has been 1 month no response to my complaint letter but instead I received an invoice from Enterprise Damage Recovery Unit, informing me that they are taking money off my bank account from the card that was presented at the time of commencement of hire.
They lie, accuse and make you liable to pay for something that you are not responsible for. Stay away.
