My car rental supplier at Faro Airport was Air Auto. The company has a small office in a large parking area, but the pick-up and drop-off point is quite a distance from the office.
When I was picking up my Fiat Panda, I found out that the car is slightly scratched and damaged from the outside and it was mentioned on the damage report as well.
I had no issues with a car during the rental period, covered less than 200 km and left more fuel in a tank than I was supposed to according to an agreement. Plus, I had no accidents or collisions that could cause any additional damage.
So at the drop off point I was in a perfect mood and everything seemed fine to me so I signed the damage report with an easy mind. But when I checked out my copy of it later, it emerged that there had been added several new scratches on the car's body to it. And as far as I was absolutely sure that I did not cause any damage to a car, I even did not think of checking the damage report and checking the car for additional damages at the drop off point and challenge the situation.
So trying to solve this issue and in order not to be charged for it by Air Auto (because it would be simply unfair) I reached Economybookings (the company, where I booked a rental car) and explained my situation, hoping that they could help me. They assured me, that my problem can be solved equitably and as a result it was. They got into touch with a car rental supplier and arranged everything perfectly for me – Air Auto admitted, that there was a mistake, so in the end I wasn't charged for any additional damages.
Thanks Economybookings for their support and a wonderful service.
Yours sincerely
