Car Trawler

DONT USE CAR TRAWLER!!! I thought I had booked a VW Golf with a Company called Olympic cars in Chania, Crete. Price looked great. When arrived at the airport I was told that I had to add 100 Euro for petrol (bring back empty). Reluctantly signed paperwork in airport terminal as have young family and just wanted to get on the road. I was then taken to pick up the car. No Golf in sight but was given a 10 year old Astra (as apparantly equivalent). It had 98,000 mileage (dial had screws missing so suspect it was clocked), no hub caps, covered in scratches and was fithy dirty with ripped fabric on seats.Upon picking it up the representative casually marked the miriad scratches roughly on the contract. Back tire became flat upon driving to villa and when i looked in the boot i discovered that the jack and wheel bolt remover were damaged and couldnt remove the wheel to change the tire. Called the so called help desk and several hours later an engineer appeared, removed the wheel and replaced with emergency tire (that was not same size as the others) and suggested I take the car to the nearest tire repair centre but drive slowly. I replaced the tire at my expense. Later the the number plate fell off (bolts had been removed and was held on with two small screws into the plastic bumper). When I returned the car the representative commented that I had lost his number plate and that would cost him as he could not provide the vehicle to the next unsuspecting victim who had just landed on the flight from London. When I get back home I was horrified to discover that a further 400 Euro had been debited to my card for fictitious damage caused during my hire period. Olympic are a bunch of crooks who are being aided by the broker Car Trawler who take no responsibility for their blatent misselling.
