We ordered a Megan online, however ended up with a Hyundai i30 without any reduction in the price. Not ideal but my preference would have been the Megan. The staff were pleasant but mildly hostile, they wouldn't offer me a no excess insurance policy and were greatly upset when I walked them outside to show them their own large sign clearly stating "NO EXCESS".
Regardless we were stung by the trick that they seem to play on a lot of tourists having looked online in retrospect - underside scratches. I took some photographs of the car with my camera (facing the car from the front) at a height of about 30 cm (1 ft) off the ground, these photos showed no scratches. However upon retuning the car the representative lowered himself so that he was lying on his stomach to view a scratch on the underside of the car only visible when viewed from the perspective of a small passing insect. The cost? €90, which we argued down to €40 for a scratch only a mechanic performing work on the underside of the vehicle would ever notice.
Moral of the story- if you chose to use this company collect the car in your overalls as you will be needing to crawl under the car to point of the scratches that they will later charge you for - or use another company.
